Newly engaged couples often ask me “What does the wedding photography process actually entail?” It’s natural to want to know your next steps! 

So today, I’m breaking down everything you can expect when working with me. From our initial booking all the way up to your wedding gallery delivery, this is the actual process behind my Palm Beach Wedding Photography Experience…

Step 1: Connect!

Your experience begins the moment you reach out! We’ll chat through your vision and my availability to make sure we’re a great fit. 

I’d say 9 to 12 months in advance of your wedding date is the sweet spot for inquiring. Peak South Florida wedding seasons tend to book up quickly. Booking 9 to 12 months in advance guarantees your date is locked in and we have plenty of time to plan. 

Step 2: The Engagement Session

Every wedding package I offer includes a complimentary engagement session. This is one of my favorite parts of the process because it gives us a chance to get to know each other while you get gorgeous, romantic portraits. Plus, you are able to get comfortable in front of the camera long before the walk down the aisle.

Prefer to skip the engagement shoot? No hard feelings! You can opt out and easily trade that session time for an additional hour of wedding day coverage instead.

Step 3: Planning The Details

As the big day approaches, we’ll set up a dedicated call with you (and your wedding planner, if applicable) to review every detail. We’ll map out light timing, family photo lists, special moments, and vendor coordination to ensure the wedding day flows seamlessly.

Step 4: The Wedding Day Experience

When you choose me as your Palm Beach wedding photographer, my priority is to help you have the best day ever while I capture the raw emotion of the day as it unfolds. Your wedding day passes by in a blink. My goal is to let you live fully in the present while I preserve those memories for your future.

To fit your unique vision and schedule, I offer packages that custom-tailored to your wedding day needs. Whether that means full-day presence or adding a second shooter so no angle or candid moment is missed, we’ll make sure you have the perfect level of coverage.

Step 5: Gallery Delivery & Beyond

After the celebration, I get to work on carefully curating and editing your photos. You’ll receive a high-resolution online gallery of your images that are now ready to share, download, print, and cherish forever.

What if you haven’t shot at our specific venue before?

If I haven’t shot at your exact location yet, no worries! I routinely schedule time before an event to scout the venue in person. I’ll walk the grounds, check light at various times of day, and map out the best portrait locations. That way, everything runs like clockwork on the actual wedding day.

What is your backup plan if there’s an emergency?

In the very rare event of a personal emergency, I maintain a tight-knit network of trusted, exceptionally talented professional photographers throughout Palm Beach and South Florida who can step in to cover your day. 

We’ve never had professional photos taken—is that a problem?

Not at all! In fact, most of my couples tell me the exact same thing when we start. You don’t need to know how to pose or what to do with your hands. My approach is all about gentle, natural direction so that you can feel relaxed, comfortable, and completely yourselves.
